Australian Energy Market Operator Print and Digital Annual Report

For the second year running the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) asked us to consult on their Annual Report. Once again this project came with the common request, ‘can we have a digital version too?’ This year we delivered a fresh look, with new messaging in the cover copy and by adopting a new primary colour palette for AEMO.

Time to prioritise

Once the print content was approved, it was time to consider how AEMO’s text-heavy report would be translated into the digital environment. With a multitude of highlights to represent, we worked in close consultation with AEMO to identify key areas and priority of content – then applied this to the digital landscape.

Once we had the green light for digital content, we began wire-framing the website. We designed the modules of information over a single page with an infinite scroll, allowing the data to be revealed as the reader moves through the site which creates an intuitive user experience.
